National Flood Relief Project
This project started in 2012 and is part of the Government’s plan to solve the flooding problems during the rainy season. This project consisted of the construction of various underground tunnels and shafts to allow the rain water to flow through instead of the public roads. The tunnels have a diameter of around 8 metres and are around 10 km long. The company invested in special equipment to be able to complete this project and 80% of this project was funded by the EU. This is the biggest project ever done in the history of Bonnici Bros.
