Coast Road Project

One of the largest road works projects in Malta, complete reconstruction of Malta’s longest road, measuring more than 6km. The main aim of this project was that apart from widening the road, there will be dual carriageway in each direction and crash barriers are installed to divide the opposing traffic. This should lead to decreasing the accidents related to overtaking. A number of safety measures will also be introduced, such as traffic lights, better asphalting that includes high friction areas as well as bicycle lanes.
